Birds of Prey and Warhawk Air Museum

July 14, 2019

Depart at 1:00 pm with a local guide and travel south of Boise to the World Center for Birds of Prey.  Tour exhibits in the Biology/Ecology Wing, the Conservation Wing, the Rainforest Room, and the Discovery Room, as well as an introduction to the resident education birds, perfect for those who want to see a little bit of everything.  From here you will take the short drive to Nampa and visit the Warhawk Air Museum for a self-guided tour.  Step into this 40,000 square foot museum and enter a world of sweetheart pillows, ration books, “V Mail”, Mothers Flags, Victory Puzzles and numerous other items that represent the home front during times of war. Among a large collection of airplanes and equipment, visitors will experience the thrill of seeing two of only a few remaining Curtiss P-40 World War II fighter airplanes left in the world.  After your visit you will return to your hotel.

Boise City Tour

July 15, 2019

This morning you will meet a local step-on-guide and board your deluxe motorcoach for a tour of the City of Trees.  Visit the MK Nature Center where you will have free time for a self-guided tour of the Center.  Then travel to the Basque Museum for a private tour of the Museum.  You will have free time for lunch before traveling the short distance to Boise State University for a visit to the Allen Noble Hall of Fame where you will have an opportunity to view the World Famous Blue Field then drive through Julia Davis Park before returning to your hotel.  (Please note:  The MK Nature Center building and Basque Museum are opening especially for your group.  They are normally closed on Monday’s.)

Snake River Stampede

This evening you will take the short drive to Nampa to attend the 104th Annual Snake River Stampede where you will have reserved seats for all of the exciting action.  This evening we salute the men and women of our armed forces.  Return to your hotel after the events conclude.

Ste. Chapelle Winery Tour

July 19, 2019

After lunch depart your hotel and travel to Sunny Slope for a tour of one of Idaho’s first and most prestigious wineries, Ste. Chapelle.  Here you will be treated to a tour of the winery followed by a tasting of 5 of their Reserved wines before returning to your hotel.
